Most airlines around the world offer electronic tickets or e-tickets. One of the major benefits of eTicket is that it does not require a paper ticket / record to confirm your flight. A confirmation of your trip is provided in the airline’s computerized electronic ticketing system.
An e-ticket offers the following benefits: You do not have to carry a paper ticket while traveling and therefore have no fear of losing or forgetting them behind. Because they exist in electronic form, you do not have to wait for your ticket to arrive in the mail. You can use your E-ticket for self-service in machines, avoiding long queues when manually logging on tables. (Offered by most airlines) You can also print your boarding pass and track your miles in the air (if applicable) with these automated machines.
You will need the following means of identification to use this service:
The credit card you used to buy the tickets.
Passenger loyalty card.
You will need to confirm the airline’s reference number provided at the time of booking.
Keep in mind that some airlines still issue paper tickets for certain flights in certain sectors. If you receive a paper ticket (a card / coupon in your wallet), you must present it at the airport counter or you will not be able to board the flight. In case you are not sure what type of ticker (e-ticket / paper ticket) have been issued to you.
